Anyone know what makes the paint bleed? I did both onesies the same way.
Lastly, some little angel wings for Valentine's Day. I think Oz will make a cute cupid.

did you also iron some freezer paper on the underside of your design. In the tutorial it mentioned she did this, I wonder if that is why? So weird that you chose sock monkeys! After seeing your baby onesie i thought to make my little one a sock monkey shirt! Anyway, I haven't gotten to that yet, but if you didn't try the freezer paper on the under side--try that!

So cute! I wonder - did you do Jack's shirt first and Oscar's second? Maybe you need a fresh stencil with the freezer paper. I don't know though. The angel wings are adorable!!

Angry Chicken blog said to iron another freezer paper to the back to stabilize and avoid bleeding through, also a fresh stencil must be used for each shirt. Not sure if you used it twice but that could also be the reason. They look so cute. I'm awaiting my first grandson the end of March so I think some spring and summer theme onesies will be great. Loved you shirts and Oz is just the cutest. Auntie M
So did the steam make it bleed through? There has to be a clever border or something you can use to salvage the onesie. Maybe a square of fabric or something.
Nope, I used a new stencil and even had the freezer paper underneath. Maybe I just used too much paint. He'll wear it anyway! :)

I used your burp cloth tutorial to make some for my baby when she was born, the baby legs, and the baby shoes tutorial you posted too. Right now I'm working on quilting - but I'm going to keep watching this blog for more great baby stuff! PS the boy is adorable - just a little younger than my baby!

I did this technique with bleach instaed of paint. Two ended up with too much bleach so it just wouldn't dry. I learned to use corrugated cardboard inside the shirt and only apply a thin layer of paint (bleach). Too much paint is probably the culprit. But I love it anyway!

Hi - just found you blog & Love it! I was wondering if you know how to sew cute little Smart Pants for babies or know where to find a pattern on line. I just done sewing the baby legs for my soon to be baby and they are so cute and I thought little hot pants would be adorable to sew for her.

I have two suggestions/ideas about the bleeding: When you iron the stencil down just place the iron straight down on the stencil, don't slide it back and forth as that can cause bubbles or cause the edges to come up. And when you start to paint only brush towards the center of the image (away from the ironed down edges) because if you go towards the edges it can cause bleeding. I hope this makes sense and maybe helps!
