baby booties for craft hope

Last night I sewed up a bunch of baby booties for Craft Hope using this kimono baby shoes pattern from a very lovely blog called HomeSpun Threads.

(this last pair is my favorite)

Now I'm off to the post office!

I am now obsessed with learning how to make baby booties!! Love them all. I think the purple pair is my favorite.

I'm a sucker for the polka dot.

This round of botties are great. So I'm curious - you've tried several different pattens/styles - which do you think is easiest for someone who's trying to get up the courage to try to make a pair for a baby due in Nov?

valerie - this pattern is definitely the easiest I've used. There are only two pieces and it is made entirely with fabric - no elastic required.

This pattern makes a great newborn shoe, while the stardust shoe pattern is a better fit for 3-9 months.

I love them! I made a pair from the same pattern, and plan to make more. Did you use any interfacing or batting?

deldobuss - I didn't use interfacing or batting ... just two layers of cotton. I figured light-weight would be good for this project because they were heading out to a warm-weather climate.
