sock monkey for craft hope

The current Craft Hope project is for the Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp in Sacramento, CA.

We were supposed to make sock monkeys this time.

I had grand plans for multiple monkeys in fireman outfits, but I barely eeked this one out. Hopefully he will bring some comfort to one of the young campers! I'm off to the post office...

I really like that you do some many wonderful charitible sewing projects.

You have definitely inspired me to do the same.

Thank you!

Thanks, friends!

Jenny - here is a good (free)sock monkey tutorial online:

I also love the book, Sock and Glove, which shows you how to make several different animals, including a monkey.

Would that possibly be a NEW COUCH it is sitting on?

It's adorable! I love that you added a heart. That's so sweet.

Janelle - I wish. That's my blue chair.

The couch fund is growing and I've been doing lots of window shopping. Hopefully I will be relaxing on a full-length couch soon!

jill, do you mind telling me where you got those socks? i love the brown and red!

Erin - I'm not exactly sure, because my mom got them for me a few years ago when I started sock animals. But I think she got them in them in the men's dept. at jcpenny. And they are more black than brown.
