working on a display

I was asked to put together a display for a church function this weekend. Last night I made doily garland to decorate my table:

And spent a little time with a chocolate mold:

Note to self: next time you want to make lots of little chocolates, make sure you have more than one mold.

In other news, I have 7 1/2 yards of felt scheduled for delivery today. I've never been so eager to see the UPS guy.

Do you have big plans for the felt? Sometimes I think it's my favorite material. I recently made a felt board for my church school class, and not long after my husband fortuitously picked but a STACK of felt at a garage sale - yards and yards and yards in several colors. Now I just have to get serious about making some felt board stories!

Are those chocolate molds an LDS Temple? Do you mind sharing where you got those? I love them.

Your blog is so beautiful, it's always an inspiration.

Lovely.

What are you going to do with all that felt? I'm really curious...

Just popping in because your "note to self" about having more than one mold just cracked me up! I did the same thing... had to make 300 for a women's church function last fall and I was so ticked at myself for not having thought it through!!! Anyway - love your blog, been a lurker for eons. :)

Erin K - yes, it is a mold of a "generic" LDS temple. I borrowing it from my mother-in-law, so I'll find out and get back to you.

Amber/MaryAnne - lots of felt = playhouse. SO excited!
