After a week of cake, streamers, parties, more cake ... we are all partied out! Oscar is a one-year-old big boy, and I can't believe how fast he is growing up.
The playhouse was finished just in the nick of time. After a weekend of serious play, I am giving it a few tweaks. LOTS to come on the playhouse. :)

Love it! Can I borrow the decorations and cake topper for my little one's 1st birthday in December?
That is one lucky kid! He is going to have so much fun growing up with a mom like you!

My little girl is only two months old, but I am going to hold on to that idea for the birthday banner...I love it! By the way, I love your blog--I found it about a year and a half ago when looking for a diaper cake tutorial and have been following ever since. I'm usually just a stalker, but I'm trying to get better about leaving comments. :)

Very cute topper, and well everything is adorable! would you mind sharing the diameter of the head on the clothes pin doll??
Oh Jill - how wonderful! You are such a crafty mommy. Oscar is one lucky boy!
The picture with the chocolate face is wonderful! What a cutie!
Did you make the pom pom things or did you buy them...I am throwing a baby shower and these would be perfect but I am not sure how to make them?

oh I love all your nifty ideas! my little one turns 1 in december. I can't wait to decorate for her big day!
Oscar is adorable, Jill! Congrats on such a cute party. His playhouse is so awesome.
Happy b-day Oscar!!
Tissue paper pom poms are SUPER easy to make. Here is the link to the tutorial on Martha Stewart:

You can also buy her kits at Michael's. I'd only buy the kit if it was on sale or maybe if it was in your perfect color scheme. You really don't need a kit, as long as you can fold paper. :)
oh my heck girl you are amazing!!!!
Still bumming hard that we weren't there to celebrate with you guys. Love the banner - what a great idea.
I literally gasped out loud when I spotted the finished playhouse. Its wonderful.
I'd like your grow banner for my girl birthday!!!! Love the cake!!!

Oh Jill! You have completely out done yourself and that's hard to do!!! It looks incredible!
As Rachel Zoe would say, "That's bananas."
Jill, Did you make his hat??? And, if so how? I would love to make my little man a birthday hat! He's turning one on November 19. You are so creative and so talented! Great work!

Emily - the head of the clothespin doll is a 1 1/4" dowel cap with a 5/8" hole. Here is a link to the place I bought mine:
