My new friend Sonja is about to embark on a super long plane ride with her almost one year old daughter. Squirm city. We were talking about Oscar's quiet book, and I decided it would be a good idea to make one for their trip. Sonja came over and once I taught her the blanket stitch, there was no stopping us. Here's what we've got so far:
Also, I would love to provide templates for these pages, but I am under a major time crunch right now. I'll have them up in the nearest future that I can manage. :)

Adorable!
So...so very sweet! x
The campsite page is my favorite! Please please put templates up once you have time. I sooooo want to make a couple of these!
This is adorable! I can't wait for you to put up the templates- my sister is super crafty and loves felt. I think she'll enjoy making one (hoepfully for my little girl!) (O:
I have three kiddos that would love this! We do road trips like once a month, and these would be great. Awesome job, super super super cute!
You have got so many cute crafts! I love your blog! I am really looking forward to templates for these! maybe you should put up what the blanket stitch is LOL for us beginners!
Totally cute!
So stinking cute!! I will be patiently awaiting templates :)
You are my favorite crafty gal on the internet right now. Genius!
So cute! How does the polyster felt hold up as a quiet book? I've been curious about what to use as the background fabric.
ack! so cute! i have got to make one of those.
I am jealous of your friend. I want a friend to make a quiet book with me, and show me the blanket stitch! You are so cool :) -Karrie
gorgeous, Jill. Really impressed - it takes a lot of patience. But having a good friend called Sonja help, is always good... (says another Sonja :-)) My kids are too big for a play house, but that kind of thing would also work nicely on a little bag or an apron.
That is super cute! I'm going to have to sock this idea away for future baby gifts. Seems like a nice way to spend cold winter evenings on the couch with a good movie and a sewing project.
That is really cute. I think I might have to make one of these when my little one gets bigger.
These are awesome. Ideas always get better the more you make! And more pages will be a surprise for Oscar during those sacrament meetings and keep him entertained!
I've been wanting to do a dressing page and this gives me some great ideas to work with! Thanks for sharing. I'm linking this post to my blog so I can remember this stuff!
Another quiet book from Jill?! Jill, this is absolutely adorable!! I love your ideas.
I swear, actually I do, just when I think you have hit the pinnacle of cuteness....you do it again.
Templates, when you have time?
I love that even the base pages are made out of felt - I would do that if I hadn't already started mine! Also love the camping page. But seriously, how are you doing this so quickly? I think I've been working on page one for...months?
SUPER adorable!!

I have been making a quiet book for my daughter and I love your ideas! I am having another baby in November and I'm already stocking up ideas for another quiet book. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love this! I'm definitely adding this to my to-do list. Thanks!

Beautiful! I love the simple & beautifully colored design! Well done!!
Super cute and as always you are full of fabulous ideas.
You're the one person in the world who makes me want to buy felt, zipper, and velcro. Your quiet books are so adorable!
This is so cute! What a great idea :) I'm thinking my 15 mo little girl would love this!
I wish you were my friend. What a great gift.
That is so dang cute!
CUTE!!!
I love your quiet books.
I started a quiet book when you posted the one you made for oscar. that is as far as I got, and now you are on another one?? wow.. I am just going to use the stuff I made for a book and turn them into a busy blanket instead.. i have all of these ideas in my head, because of your blog (a good blog btw :])... but I never have the ambition to actually do any of them.. lol. You do a wonderful job on your stuff, I am surprised you haven't been featured on martha, since you dedicate half of your page to her..lol
Adorable! I love how you made the little girl with her name and the clothes. : )
I had to make one of these busy books for a home ec class a million years ago...I should make one for my own girls.
So glad I found your blog. I love the first birthday cake too!!
Sooo cute!!!!
Okay. I'm a new fan!
So you're quiet books have to be the cutest ones I've ever seen... Will you take orders for them? So glad I stumbled up on your fabulous blog! IF you don't allow orders for these books, PLEASE post templates of your pages soon.
Hi Jill. I came across these pages while hunting for quiet book templates. Just wondering if the templates ever got put up somewhere else?.. I see this was posted in 2009. A lot has happened in your house in the last two years, so i'd understand if they did not.. but I would LOVE it if they had... mostly for scale. What size were each of your pages? I see they were all done on white cotton (would that be musclin?) I'm shopping online for supplies.. as you know, manhattan is a tricky place to find certain supplies. Also, did you just use any old flannel? Or was it extra durable stuff? Any info you could share would be appreciated! :) Much thanks.
