You know what I love about November? It still feels like there is plenty of time to make homemade gifts. Black Apple Dolls are one of my favorite little girl gifts to make. They are a fast project, easy to customize, and oh so very cute (the free pattern doesn't hurt either).
My favorite in this bunch is the dark-haired twin with the blue flower brooch. They could all use shoes and winter accessories, but I have to be somewhat realistic about my time. :)

I love these as well, and have made a few of them as gifts as well. I have to admit I loved the first one so much I kept her and named her. :)
Very cute and thanks for the present idea.
Thanks for sharing. Did you paint the faces on yours?
Black apple dolls are on my "to make" list - love your combinations - too cute!
Those are darling. I wish I knew a little girl to give one to!
So sweet! I will have to find a little girl to make one for! My little one never has gotten into dolls. :-(

Ive never heard of these before, they are so sweet! fliss xx
Love these! What kind of paint did you use on the face?
MAYBE if I had super cute fabric like you have I'd get a good result! That redhead looks like my niece. Ok, ok, I'll make one. You've convinced me :)
I love these as well!!!!!
I too already had this pattern in my downloads, but have forgotten about them! I am totally going to make up a couple for my nieces since we have their names for Xmas! Thanks for the idea/reminder!!
And I just found your blog the other day and I'm totally loving it! Thanks for all the tutorials!
I like the pink one with the headband. Did you embroider the face? I’m afraid to attempt paint the face, so I haven’t tried this pattern. Even though the dolls are so cute!
I embroider the faces instead of using paint. Safer, in my opinion! :)
They're darling! I made one a while ago, but you've inspired me to make a couple more!
Love these dolls. Last year I made a Rapunzel one based on Shannon Hale's Rapunzel's Revenge. The idea was to give the book and the doll to my little girl, but the doll was just too cute. Now she's in my craft room sitting on a shelf where she makes me smile.
so precious! the little girls in my neighborhood would love these... I love being the neighbor who craft, no kids of my own = me spoiling the heck out of others
So cute! My two year old daughter will love these!
If you like those, check out this etsy store, the patterns aren't free, but they are darling, and are super detailed and easy to follow! I've purchased and made a few of these ones myself.

So cute mama!!
Long time since I have seen you around online.. i have been in hiding... Finally updated my blog lately. I missed it!
SOOO CUUTE!!! And dressed perfectly for a Santa Barbara Christmas:)
I love these dolls. I made one for myself, but I need to make more - they looks so cute! Great blog!
my daughter loves hers!!! she totes it around everywhere!!! i love your color choices!!
I just made one! Thanks for linking the craft and showing us yours. I'm on to #2.
those came out really cute.. what type of fabric did you use for the skin
I used a beige flannel for the skin because I had it in my stash. If I were to buy fabric specifically for the project, I'd probably choose quilting cotton because it would be less likely to pill.
What technique do you use to sew the top of the head closed so that it's not very noticeable or lumpy.....two things I expect that mine will be when I attempt this, so I'm asking ahead of time ;) Thanks!
Thanks for posting these - I just made my first doll for a friend's one year old. I liked your use of embroidery so I also embroidered rather than going with paint.
oh they really are so so cute!! Thanks for sharing.. i havent come across these yet.. i must be living under a rock!! xx
Do you know anyone that could make them? I need about 25 for a little girl party. I'm not crafty at all. Thanks.
