Disneyland Report

Someone had a magical time at Disneyland ...

Oscar proved himself a little daredevil, and went on every ride with me.  We had so much fun!

We've been spending the last several days trying to feel human again after too much partying and not enough napping.  I think we're just about there.

Sorry I don't have anything new to share today!  Craft time is resuming tonight.

Cute!! I was thinking of stealing your shirt idea! How old is he? We are taking our 19 month old son next week and I'm worried he won't enjoy it. Any tips you learned? Did he get to nap at all? Thanks for the help! :)

Oscar is almost 17 months old. I was worried he would be too young, but he loved it! The only parts that were tricky were waiting in lines (we learned quickly to only do short-line rides) and nap time. He took about an hour nap a day in the stroller, which wasn't ideal, but I think the adrenaline of Disney kept him going.

We got the 2-day park hopper pass, and that was helpful because we didn't feel like we had to do a whole marathon day. The first day we only stayed until 3pm and the second day we stretched it out until 7pm.

Highlights for Oscar were definitely It's a Small World, Dumbo, the Tiki Room, and the Pixar Parade at CA Adventure (if your son is a pixar movie fan, he will go crazy for this. It was amazing, and maybe my favorite part too!).

Wow! I can't imagine taking my 16+ month old to Disney yet (though it's a LONG trip for us from MA anyway). You must be very brave!

Those are stunning eyes he's got. Wow! What a fun trip. We keep talking about going, but we live far away so I keep putting it off. You've renewed my desire to go this summer!

And I'll bet those Disney Princesses prancing around couldn't get enough of that kid. He is so, so cute.

We just got back from San DIego. Hotels and kids... it is just so hard!

Thanks! An hour nap is so great! We can barely get him to sleep in the car seat on the 6 hour drive over there. He likes to sleep in his bed and his bed only. I think we'll probably stay later than you did, but I suppose if it ends up a disaster that we'll leave earlier. We also have my 5 month old son with us! We'll have our hands full but there will be a lot of family members there. I'm pretty skeptical about going still but I'm sure it will have at least a few good moments!

Thanks for answering! And these ladies are so right, your son has gorgeous eyes! Everyone says that about my son too... we've got a couple of future heart-breakers (or troublemakers) on our hands!

I love how magical Disneyland is for kids when they are tiny. When my older two boys were little we lived in Anaheim and I worked at Disneyland so we were there all the time. It never seemed to get old for them. There is actually a lot to do there for littler kids if you just know where to look! Glad to see you had such a great time!

Oscar is SO CUTE!! And those eyes! He looks like he had such fun!

I'm actually going to Disney in FL (my first visit @ age 53!!!) a week from tomorrow! I CANNOT WAIT!!! Just like Oscar, I will need nap time, but believe me, it won't be difficult for me to work it into my day. Now, if I can just find a stroller big enough for me & a willing person to push me around so that I can nap without going back to the hotel....

Okay, Oscar's eyes are to die for!

Now, I know you don't know me, but I always check your blog so I feel like I know you. So I had to share that I am following in your footsteps. I have a 17-month old son and just found out that I am due with a little girl. I can't wait to see what girly crafts you come up with.

Oh, yeah and we are going to Disneyland next week to cash in our Give a Day, Get a Day tickets. Thanks for the tips.

Love your blog. Glad you had a great trip. And thanks for the advise in your comment. We are taking our 2 year old to Disneyland this year and I have been a bit nervous about it.
