go-to baby shower gifts

Forgive me for the light posting this week - I've been sewing like crazy for a quadrouple(!) baby shower tomorrow night.  I'm one of the lucky four expecting mamas, but I wanted to do something special for the other three ladies.  I don't think any of them read my blog, so hopefully this will be safe to post.  :)  All three of them are expecting boys, so I had a chance to use some of my favorite Riley Blake Wheels fabric.

Here's a list of my go-to gifts for baby showers, depending on what I feel like making:
Sometimes I like to include something else special, not made by me.  Did you notice the adorable wood teething ring in the photo?  It is made by one of my favorite etsy sellers, Little Sapling Toys.  I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just love the products.  I bought a few things from them for Oscar's first Christmas, and they were favorite early baby toys.

I have adapted your burp cloth pattern a bit (because I didn't enjoy the strings in my washer from the fraying process) but burp cloths are a standard baby shower gift that I make now. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration!

I am throwing a shower for my sister this weekend... I already gifted her your burp cloths, onesies, vintage clothes, etc.

Hey, he's the only boy so far!!!

OOoo super cleaver that you embroider the fabric first, then adhere it to the onesie!

Thanks for the ideas! I love the edges of your burp cloth - I always join and turn mine so the edge isn't raw but it looks great like that.

You know I adore you and your blog. You will not believe this...just cut out 2 pieces of the Riley Blake Wheels to make burpcloths for a friend!! Haven't made bc's in about 2 mos...and today I break out the same fabric! LOVE it! Thx for your inspiration...and for your good taste! ☺

Love the gift ideas. Before I found you blog I adapted some burp cloths I received as a gift into a template, really similar to yours. I made mine out of receiving blankets I got as gifts (like a million of them). I didn't use any batting and I sew them right sides together, then press and top stitch. Love the frayed edge. More girly!

Oh, I've been admiring that Riley Blake print for a while! I love the burp cloth and onsie that you made with it. Homemade baby gifts are the best. I'm sure your friends will love these.

Really cute! I love this fabric. And it's such an nice idea how you created a set by putting one of the cars on the onesie.

Hello Dude,

Traditionally, baby showers were given only for the family's first child and both men and women attended. The original intent was for women to share wisdom and lessons on the art of becoming a mother. Over time, it has become common to hold them for subsequent or adopted children. It is not uncommon for a parent to have more than one baby shower, such as one with friends and another with co-workers. Thanks a lot.......

A new born baby is a heavenly gift given to the parents by the god. A baby comes in this world along with heavenly delight and joy for his or her parents, relatives and neighbors. Celebration of the event of the birth of a baby is usually done by gifting the baby and parents. But it is really tough to find a gift that will be perfectly suitable for the baby. Baby Gifts are always useful in these situations.

by http://www.etsy.com/shop/coffeelady I have been thinking about making them as a turned bootie instead of by crocheting them together.
