Forgive me for the light posting this week - I've been sewing like crazy for a quadrouple(!) baby shower tomorrow night. I'm one of the lucky four expecting mamas, but I wanted to do something special for the other three ladies. I don't think any of them read my blog, so hopefully this will be safe to post. :) All three of them are expecting boys, so I had a chance to use some of my favorite

I have adapted your burp cloth pattern a bit (because I didn't enjoy the strings in my washer from the fraying process) but burp cloths are a standard baby shower gift that I make now. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration!

Thanks for the ideas! I love the edges of your burp cloth - I always join and turn mine so the edge isn't raw but it looks great like that.

You know I adore you and your blog. You will not believe this...just cut out 2 pieces of the Riley Blake Wheels to make burpcloths for a friend!! Haven't made bc's in about 2 mos...and today I break out the same fabric! LOVE it! Thx for your inspiration...and for your good taste! ☺
Love the gift ideas. Before I found you blog I adapted some burp cloths I received as a gift into a template, really similar to yours. I made mine out of receiving blankets I got as gifts (like a million of them). I didn't use any batting and I sew them right sides together, then press and top stitch. Love the frayed edge. More girly!
Oh, I've been admiring that Riley Blake print for a while! I love the burp cloth and onsie that you made with it. Homemade baby gifts are the best. I'm sure your friends will love these.
