decorating

Oscar helped me decorate the tree today.

He still has a little ways to go to master the art of spacing ornaments.   At one point he had four ornaments hanging on the same branch.

I try to make a little something for the tree every year - this year's project was a candy cane felt garland - you can find instructions for it at Purl Bee.   It was so fast and easy (my favorite kind of project!) and looks fantastic on the tree.

I made some of those garland, too! Love how easy it was. I also made some napkin rings. Can't wait to get our tree. Merry Christmas!

Very pretty tree. Toddlers don't seem to totally grasp the decorating process. Phoenix kept moving the ornaments around after we put them on the tree & every morning he wakes up saying he wants to go decorate.

love the garland. Your blog was the first one I started reading. I cannot believe how big your little boy is. I have been reading blogs for a long time!

I'm glad we're not the only home with ornament spacing problems. About half our ornaments are divided between three or four branches.

My 4 year old is the same way about not spacing ornaments! This year, we have two 18 month olds rough housing around the tree as well, so we just don't decorate the bottom 3 - 4 feet of the tree. :)

Jill, I love the new look on your blog, especially the candy cane J! Very festive. :) I also love Oscar's clumps of ornaments! We're decorating our tree later today and I have a feeling it will look similar ...
