So ... I am in a creative funk this week. I even left my sewing studio time an hour early last night because I just didn't feel like sewing. I can't believe I just typed that.
Anyway, here are some baby shoes I sewed for Ruby recently using the Angelina Ballerina pattern from Sweet Pea Patterns. I have bought several pdf patterns from that etsy shop, and they always come out great.
I'm off to browse the Celebrate the Boy flickr group and get inspired for a boy project. If that can't get me going, I'm not sure what will!

Those are adorable! Might have to make some of those for some little ones who are soon to be born.
These are just darling! You did a beautiful job on these. I love on the elastic has a little pattern to it.

They turned out great! I get in those moods too...so then I just do something else for a few days and eventually get back to my projects.
Oh goodness, I am in love with these!
And I'm in a creative funk right now, too. I blame February
Those slippers are so sweet!!! thanks for the link and sharing them.
PS I hope your funk disappears soon
I'm in that same funk. Maybe it's the winter blues. We've had a very cold one this year. {up in Canada}
The slippers are darling.
How funny--I've been making some of her baby shoes this week, too! Yours turned our great, as your things always do. I'm just coming out of a craft funk and I think it was the "Celebrate the Boy" ideas that eventually won me over. Good luck!
so cute! I love the criss-cross straps.
Those are so cute I might die.
I am prepared for you to gift me some adult sized ones, thanks. :)
Darling as usual.
I wanted to let you know I awarded you the Versatile Blogger Award. I find your blog and projects inspirational. In fact, your blog was the inspiration for starting mine. Thanks so much for doing such a great job.
I love how sweet and dainty these are!! I want some for my sweet Ali girl. Only problem - I've never used a sewing machine. Small details ;-)
simply adorable! I will make these if I ever have a girl!!
Какая красота обалдеть! где бы найти выкройку?
oh jill,
that's the sweetest thing I've seen all week. Thanks for inspiring me! I need more pink right now :)
Jill, have you ever given readers a peek inside your sewing studio? I'd love to see it. I'm getting ready to move my sewing area from a blah part of the unfinished basement into a freshly painted guest room upstairs. Can't wait! I could use some inspiration on how to decorate/lay it out...
Oh, I wish I had my own studio. I go to a weekly sewing studio time at the local city college through the adult education program. It is a 3-hour block every Thursday that I can depend on for sewing time with some friends.
Someday I hope to have a great creative space, but for now I just make a big mess of my kitchen table! :)
So, the big question, do they stay on Ruby's feet? I've made my (admittedly skinny-footed) little girl several pairs of slippers and they simply won't stay on. I'm thinking that elastic might do the trick.
They stay on fairly well, but they were a little tight ... I just need to make the next size up. When I make them again, I might make the heel a little taller as well.
