Hi friends. I hope all the ladies out there had a fabulous mother's day. Jared treated me to a new camera, so it is on its way ... hurray! Until then, he took a few photos for me over the weekend with his fancy phone.
I made these pants for Oscar ages ago, and just haven't found the time to catch them in action. He is a very busy boy.
Have you tried Dana's Kid Pants Pattern? It is free, and awesome. I love having a son so close in age to her Owen so I can take advantage of all her fabulous boy tutorials.
For these pants, I combined a whole bunch of Dana's tutorials and made them flat front, lined, with back pockets, and flat front pockets (the pork chop style). Phew. The yellow seersucker made for super cute Easter slacks.
Just for fun, here is an action shot of Oscar doing what he does best ... playing in the dirt!
Are you sewing with Elsie Marley for Kids Clothing Week Challenge? It starts today. I was somehow able to make it happen last session, and by golly, I'm going to do my best this week.

Love seersucker! Especially in the flat front pant.
I've been on the hunt for seersucker fabric. Any good sources?
Oh...i'm trying to participate in KCWC. We'll see how far I get.
Wow! Those are seriously So adorable!! I LOVE them!! Oscar looks so cute in them!
So excited about KCWC!
I absolutely adore these...they are just perfect spring/summer pants!
LOVE those seersucker pants! I had seen the pattern before, but it is so much cuter with the pockets! I may have to try it now.
oh wow. I LOVE them in Yellow! And I've been itching to update the pocket tutorial...maybe this will give me a little nudge :)
Cute boy! Cute pants!
i love these! great job adding the pockets, they look fantastic. i will now be picking up some yellow seersucker the next time i'm at JoAnn's...could make some pants for my 5 month old boy, and they'd be cute as pedal pushers for my 3yo girl, too!
Everything you make is adorable, especially these pants!! I love all the techniques you combined.
Darling! I really love seersucker, and especially in yellow! I want to try using some seersucker to make a dress. Hmmm...your projects always make me think of ones I need to start!
Seersucker and little boys is a perfect combo! I hadn't thought of it... probably because we are heavy on estrogen over here.
Yay for a new camera!
Those pants are seriously cute. They almost look like linen, rather than seersucker. I've joined KCWC too & I actually DID something last night! Waiting for bedtime tonight for the next portion! Yea!
Way to go! Super cute!
You are very talented, and the pictures are very loving, wow, i'm very impress at not just these drawings but your photos as well.
