To start, I am making coordinating Christmas pj's for the kids (Oscar is pretty excited about it - can you tell?). For the fabric I used one of my favorite knits, Laguna Stretch Cotton Jersey. For patterns I used my fall-backs, Rae's Flashback Skinny Tee and altered Lil Blue Boo's Leggings.
The jammies are pretty cute just plain, but to make them even more festive I added a simple Christmas tree design using Silhouette's Flocked Heat Transfer material*. I love the heat transfer - it is easy to use, looks really professional, and lasts a long time! I made Jared a t-shirt with the heat transfer two Christmases ago, and it still looks great.
As you know, Black Friday will shortly be upon us, and Silhouette is gearing up for some amazing deals during their Black Friday Week (November 23rd-30th). I can't tell you what the discounts are yet, but if you've been waiting to buy, these are the best deals around. Stay tuned for Friday!
And now ... for the giveaway. Today I'm giving away the very new, very adorable (and more affordable), Silhouette Portrait!
See it in action at Silhouette America's YouTube channel, or check out the Cameo/Portrait side-by-side comparison.
- For a chance to win a Silhouette Portrait, simply leave a comment. Feel free to say anything, but I'd especially love to hear about how you'd use a Silhouette machine to create holiday gifts (we all need more ideas, right?).
- For one extra entry (for a total of 2 entries per person only), follow the Silhouette blog OR follow Silhouette's Pinterest boards, and then leave a separate comment telling my you've done so.
- Anonymous comments will be ignored. Please make sure I have a way of contacting you if you're the winner!
- This giveaway is open until midnight, November 22nd, and a winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Friday, November 23rd. The giveaway and Black Friday promotions are good only for US residents (so sorry, international friends!).
*disclosure: Silhouette provided the flocked heat transfer for my holiday pj project.

First, I am going to paint a blank canvas red.
Next, I am going to use my silhouette to cut-out basic Christmas shapes onto cardstock.
Next, I am going to lay the cut-out on my red canvas and paint over the cut-out with green.
Finally, I am going to a use silver (or gold) glitter pen to outline the shape.

I'd love to make labels for my pantry!
I would love to win this Silhouette because my little boys and I LOVE to make greeting cards and other art projects for our family far away, place them in beautiful packages, and mail them off. We think it really brightens someone’s day when they receive a cheery package in the mail with a sweet sentiment ‘just because’. Right now, we use a lot of scrapbook paper and paper cutters, but the three of us would be OVER THE MOON if we won a Silhouette because it means we could take our ‘cheer spreading’ projects to the very next level! We live roughly 700 miles away from our family (and I’m a single mom!) so it’s a very important part of every week for us to let people know we are thinking about them in a beautiful way. Our recipients would be so grateful and impressed with our new projects if we won! (Especially grandma!) Thanks so much for the opportunity & happy holidays!!! mollmeier@gmail.com
