Hi i am 14 and i love to sew also my momm just got me a sewing matcheen for christmas.. and i have sometimes been struggling with it .. becuase for some reson sometimes the sstring breakess in half out of the hole in the needel and it keeps doing .. do you have an idea of what i am doing wrong? anyways i love your page it is so cool and i hope i can one day be as good as you =) maybe sometime you could send me a template for one of thoughs cool sock monkeys =)

Hi McC -

I don't quite understand your sewing machine problem. I would double check to make sure you have your bobbin threaded correctly. If you have the thread going the wrong way, it will get jammed up and won't sew properly. Read your instruction manual and keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it!

I use a sock monkey pattern from a book called Sock and Glove. You can find it on Amazon.com for about $12. It has a lot of great patterns. I can't send it to you because it is copyrighted. If you are interested in sock animals though, I would definitely recommend getting that book. It has very easy to follow instructions.
